Race History
Victor first started riding bikes at the age of 10 on an Italjet. In 1998 he took up schoolboy motor cross, but his turning point was 18 months later when he first got on a mini-moto.
In 2000 he won the Southern Winter Indoor Championship and in 2001 he not only took the title again but also became the youngest ever champion in the British Mini-Moto Senior Production Class.
Half way through 2001 the Vicar started racing in the Aprilia Superteens, consistently finishing in the top 50%. In October he took first place at Brands Hatch.
The next year and it was the Dunlop Junior Superstock riding on a Yamaha R6. Again, Victor finished in the top 50% showing some very creditable results.
In 2003 the Vicar entered the Virgin Mobile Yamaha R6 Cup. He finished 6th overall, winning on the Brands Hatch GP Circuit in what is considered to be one of the best races of the season. Rob MacElnea presented Vicar with the Ryan Holmes Memorial Trophy for being the most "natural talented racer" of the year.
Victor entered the R6 Cup again in 2004 and despite various "race incident" crashes & injuries his fitness prevailed and he put in some very impressive lap times. The best being the race at the Donington Moto GP weekend where he got pole position by 0.5 seconds and led the race most of the way until the final lap where he came together with another rider and suffered a broken collar bone & fractured scapula.
Five weeks later, at Cadwell Park, with a badly slipping clutch he put in the 3rd fastest time in lap 10!
In 2005, racing in the European Superstocks at Valencia Victor qualified 28 & finished 17th, Monza qualified 26th & finished 17th (with the fastest top speed of all the classes) & recently Silvertsone qualified 20th and finished 14th, in the points!
2006 I joined Team STP Racing riding a Yamaha R1 in the British Superstock Championship. My season improved consistently to see me regularly scoring Championship points, the highlight of the 2006 season however was winning the Castle Combe Superbike Grand National in June where i took the victory on my Superstock bike.
2007 I competed in the BSB Superstock Championship but this time riding a MV Agusta. Scoring points by round 3, a crash at round 4 resulted in me bracking my wrist and missing 3/4 of the season.Returning from injury i retained the Castle Combe Superbike Grand National Title which meant alot to me after not riding a bike for 5 months.
2008 I will be competing in the BSB Superstock Championship on board a Yamaha R1 and will be looking to be a top contender in the Championship.
