Brands Hatch - first attempt at racing!
First of all I would like to give a big thanks to Keith Berridge who very kindly made a donation into our team to help keep me racing this year as well as Bristol Bob Thank you very much!!!!!!!
What a weekend! With a few bike probs early on in the weekend it definitely set us back a little for the weekend. Friday and the weather was great first session we spent a lot of time in and out the pits making adjustments to the suspension trying to get the bike more stable on the exit of the corner and under braking. For the first qualifier it seemed that we still hadn't got everything sorted and found a problem with our rear sets where the right peg was bending under weight. After coming in the pits where the guys done a great job to get it sorted as quick as they could, with 5 mins to go I got back on track to complete 2 laps before the end of the session where I managed to get half way up the field only completing 5 laps in the session. 2nd qualifier I managed to go half a second faster ending up 22nd on the grid which I was not really happy with but know with more time on the bike we will get more out of the bike as well as myself.
Sunday morning I was lying in bed really looking forward for the race when I had a text from a friend saying they would do me a good deal on some snow studs! It took a few seconds before it twigged, that’s when I opened the door of my van to see nothing but snow every where! I couldn’t believe how much the weather could change in the space of a couple of days. Then came 12 mid day the decision was made that was the end of the weekend and now they will run another meeting at Brands on the 10, 11 of May.
Thanks for all your support! Can't wait till Thruxton!
Also I would like to thank Paul from STP for his help with the suspension.

Hello all
My first time back on the track! The weekend before Donington I was invited by Jon Strike to go up to Pembrey and have a go on a couple of bikes. It was a great day. I got to ride a few bikes just to get some laps under my belt. At first it all felt so fast and really strange cause I have being doing loads of Moto X, so it felt strange getting back on the tarmac but after a few laps it soon comes back to you. The only thing that did concern the guys was when I went grab the kick start to start the bike. I just kept doing it with out thinking. "What an idiot!". They still take the mick out of me now.
I've had two track days out on the R1, one being at Donington where I just had to run the engine in, and the second one at Oulton Park last Wed. Donington was a real good day apart from it being so bloody cold!!! Luckily it stayed dry all day and managed a good few sessions running the motor in.
Oulton what a day!. It was brill! Apart from when we got there it was pouring down and almost looked like a waste of a journey. It was typical!. It was pretty much dry the whole way up, then about 10 miles from the circuit it started to bucket down! By about 11 I made my way out on to a very wet Oulton park for the first time that day and slowly started to get a feel for what it felt like riding the bike in the rain. I have a feeling we will be riding in the wet a lot this year. "Hopefully I’m wrong!" Come lunch time the weather was looking up and the track was drying out so we got the drys back on the bike and rode around until I got dizzy! With the track now dry we thought we would try a few things with the suspension and by the end of the day felt like we had made a big step forwards. The bike felt great. I managed to do 216 miles and felt we took a lot away from the day. I really enjoy riding the R1 and feel that we can do a good job with it this season.
Now with only a few days to go before the first round at Brands, I'm really looking forward to just getting there and getting set up. I can’t wait to get back out there. I really enjoy Brands Hatch as it’s a great circuit and will looking for a good result.
Thanks for everyone’s support will look forward to seeing you all there.

Hi all!
First of i would like to say a BIG THANK YOU to Whitehorse Windscreens for helping me out for this coming season.
With the 2008 racing season only 5 weeks away we have just had the Fairings sprayed and they look great thanks to Ken from Briken Motors. Lets hope I can keep them that way.
Also we are hoping to pick up the engine towards the end of this week where we can then get it back in the bike and ready for its first shake down. We haven't booked my first track day yet but will be looking to get one booked for next weekend. In the mean time I have maneged to get the back of my van carpeted and I managed to do it without gluing my fingers together! haha.
And also I've been doing a bit of motocross: I love going out on my motocross bike its really good for fitness. Me and my friend Ben went out sat to track just outside of Bath and had a wicked day. The jumps where awesome but think that was my last time out my bike with it now up for sale to help fund the racing so if anyone wants a Yamaha 250f let me know. Will keep you all updated on how things are going.
Speak to you all soon

Hello all!
I hope everyone had a nice Christmas and is looking forward to the 2008 racing season.
Firstly I would like to take this opportunity to apologise for the lack of updates on my website; this is down to me not knowing what 2008 held for me.
WOW!!! what a winter, as a Christmas present from my Dad he sent me a ticket to go and see him in the Philippines, had a fantastic time but unfortunately the old boy made it a return ticket!!! (I think a week was long enough for him).
We've been working really hard getting things into place for this season; I will be racing a Yamaha R1 under the name VCMOTORSPORT ran by me and my close friend Stewart Rogers (Stewy) with the ongoing support of Jon Strike & Simon Woods of STP MOTORSPORT, with the help of Chris, Ray and Ben who will be helping with the mechanics. They are all real passionate about the bike racing and like myself are really looking forward to this season. I know I have great group of guys behind me and will be pushing for the front.
We picked up the R1 last week and since then the guys have been flat out stripping the bike down and then getting it prepped ready to do some testing. At the minute we have the engine being rebuilt and the fairings being sprayed, we are hoping to get them back in the next couple of weeks when we can get the graphics with our sponsors names & logos on the fairings. There is still so much to do though with my next job being carpeting the back of my van and kitting it out which should be fun, I don’t know how gripper tape will work on the sides of my van!
I would like to make big THANKS to our new sponsors for 2008: BRIKEN MOTORS (Ben & Ken), MTL Leisure (Graham), JEMTECH (Steve) and all my friends that are helping.
Well, I will keep you all updated on how things are going e.g. when we get the bike back together, when we are looking to do my first test, whether or not I can get the carpet to stick! ha-ha.
SPONSORSHIP
We are always looking for sponsors who can be apart of our team and help me to succeed in 2008. If you think you could help in anyway please contact me through my website.
Will see you all soon!
