J&L Motorcycles has signed Victor Cox for the National 1000 Superstocks 2010 season on board a Yamaha R1. Top 10 finishes in the last 4 races of 2009 was a fantastic end to the season and now Victor is aiming for podium finishes on the only Yamaha R1 in the 2010 series.
Victor says "I'm really happy to be riding for J&L this season, they are a great team and we worked really well together last year. I feel confident that we can do a great job in 2010. We're working on the bike set up and will be testing in Spain to prepare for the beginning of the season." With top riders moving from British Super Bikes to Superstocks in 2010 the pace will be be hot, but Victor believes the team has a competitive package and will be pushing for the front.
Victor has worked towards peak fitness this winter, increasing strength and cardio stamina. This included a little fun with Duathlon entries at Thruxton and Castle Combe. At the Combe, Victor finished in 53 mins for a 3.2k run + 16k bike + 3.2k run so he's no slouch. The faithfull motorcross bike has also been helping to keep him bike fit. Victor says "I'm raring to get back on the R1 and hope to see you at the race meetings during 2010.
