Round 2 - Thruxton

From the first session the bike felt good with us just having to do a few minor tweaks. The one thing that every one seemed to be struggling with was the tyre wear. Steve my mechanic tried a couple of different things to see if we could get better tyre wear but found that it is just the nature of the circuit, after about 4 laps you had used the best of the tyres.

With not a very good qualifying session I had start from 24th on the grid which was better than Brands but still not where I wanted to be. Had a great start making up a few places but noticed straight off the start line that something was wrong with the bike. Pushed on trying to overcome the problem but by the fourth lap I had no choice but to retire from the race. We later found out that the rear sprocket had worn to the point where the chain was not catching on the teeth.
