Round 5 - Snetterton
What a weekend! Got to the track Friday morning with Stewy, CHRIST........! I thought his dads driving was scary, we done 210 miles in 2 hours and 45 minutes and that was with a pit stop and we didn't brake the speeding limit once, HONEST!!!!! Well that was until we got into the paddock where we got pulled over for going a bit to quick. He soon let us off though when we asked for the calibration certificate. HAHA! SORRY! The way the riders are dropping at the minute I think we should get him on the bike!!
Friday morning I found myself talking to Warwick and his sheila (Chris) in the awning, advising me that it's important to keep moving my fingers for the blood circulation and to keep a bit off strength up. After the second session with Warwick having a monstrous high side out of the chicane and very unfortunately breaking his left wrist. Thanks to Warwick's helpful advice I then found my self repeating it to him!!!
Now with me and Warwick out it was now up to Matt and Rod, no pressure! With Matt having a good qualifier but then unfortunately crashing in the warm up but with good team work and help from Tony and Carl at Crystal racing the team managed to get the bike ready for the race. Due to STP Racings run of good luck (Bad luck!!!!!!!!!!) in the crash the engine was damaged causing Matt to not make the grid. With the team feeling like they have had a good kicking we sat down to watch the Moto GP. What a race! Well done Bradley Smith in the 125cc GP!!!!!!
It was time to put are attention back to BSB and for the "THE WELSH WIZZARD" (Rod) to take center stage!!!! With a very different start Rod started picking up places and by the half way stage of the race Rod was knocking on the door for a top twenty finish, I think he should have rang the bell because as he went to go underneath someone at the end of the straight the door was slammed in his face!!!! This caused Rod to take to the grass and bring out his motocross skills; on the amount of places he lost he is in the right sport!!!!! In the remaining 3laps Rod managed to make up all the places he lost, well done mate!!!!
With the next round in Ireland the team is hoping to bring back some lucky charms!!!! (must remember to pack my aftershave) Just like to take the time to thank everyone for their support over the weekend, it was very difficult to go to a race circuit and not race!!!!! Hopefully me and Warwick will be fit for Knockhill to blow the cobwebs of the MVs.
Look forward to seeing you all soon.
