Round 3 - Brands Hatch GP

For this weekend the qualifying had already been done at the first round which was cancelled so there was no qualifying on this weekend. This was a bit of a bugger for me because I really struggled at brands.

The first time with the bike set up and was 22nd on the grid but due to some riders not making this weekend through injuries I had moved up to 18th on the grid.

For the first session on sat I was running about 13th but new I could go faster once we had got the suspension working better making the bike easier to ride. The sun morning we had a 20 min warm up and for this session I went about a second in a half faster end that session in 5th on used tyres.

The race I had a good start getting into the top 11 buy the first couple of corners but the race was red flagged because of 2 crashes 2 at paddock and 2 at druids. Then after they took care of the fallen riders they restarted and just shortened the race by 2 laps, for the restart I got another good start but got caught behind a couple of riders I new I was faster than but by the time I had passed them the group in front up to 6th pos had pulled about a 4 second gap which I just couldn't close.

I'm sure if I could have got away with that pack, and not starting so far back, I could have run with them. I finished the race in 8th which is good because I’m back in the points and have moved up in the championship but still not good enough I need to make that next step and brake into the top 5 that’s where I need to be!
