Season 2005 - review - Part 2
SILVERSTONE
My first time racing with STP in the British was at Silverstone on an R1. First practice was spent getting the bike set up properly and for me to get used to it. My first time on it!. In the second qualifying I had a coming together with another rider on the fourth lap and I hadn't managed to do a quick enough time by then so I started way back on the grid.
In the race I managed to fight my way into the top twelve but then I fell off going through the new Mickey Mouse chicane, my own bloody fault, but I got back on and finished 22nd.
Donington
At Donington I think I qualified 19th. I had a good start and again got into the top twelve and finished 14th.
Brands Hatch
Brands Hatch was a bit different. Even though I had problems with a slipping clutch in qualifying I got 13th on the grid. STP put a new clutch in for the race but on the start line waiting for the lights to go out the engine kept getting hotter and hotter, I thought it was going to boil over! Had a crap start cos of it, the engine was really sluggish, and I dropped straight to 19th. But it was a great race, I really enjoyed it, and fought my way back to finish 9th.
The off-season

Had a great couple of days at the NEC recently with Jemtech, they were a great bunch of guys and I met lots of really nice helpful people, and of course the girls at the show, wow!
Now it's back to more training. It's a hard life being a racer. I just want to say good luck to my brother Grant. In march he is going to study martial arts in China for a year and will miss all my races but my dad has promised me he will keep him up to date on what happens. Have a great time Grant.
