The National Superstock championship, run as a support race to the British Superbike Championship, is an advertiser's goldmine. In 2005 the championship was run over 13 meetings from March to October, with each 3 day meeting attracting an average of more than 22000 of fans. With the BSB paddocks open to the public, fans can get a close look at the bikes, the logos and sponsors details. As well as the fans attending the races, the BSB series attracts live TV coverage from Sky Sports and recorded highlights from Channel 4. The motorcycle press (such Motorcycle News, Bikesport News, Motorcycle Racer, Performance Bikes, Superbike and Fast Bikes Magazine) also provide extensive coverage of the series. As well as press and TV, there are dozens of web sites that follow the series, and link to riders' web sites like the vicarracing.com.

What this means is that there are many opportunities for sponsors to gain exposure for their businesses.

Now we look to 2008!

Probably the most exciting year we could hope for, THE VICAR IS BACK and this time with VC/STP MOTORSPORT in the British Superstock riding on a Yamaha R1.
